Hi, I’m Sara. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember in various forms. Diaries, short stories, and DIY comics as a youngster. Creative writing has always been a way to relax and tell stories, not aiming to be published but for the stories themselves.
In 2013, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the same time my marriage broke down. Both the cancer treatment and the separation were equally horrendous. At this time I discovered the power of writing as a form of self-therapy. I haven’t looked back since. Writing has taught me so much about myself and has got me through some very dark times.
I know it works and I am passionate about sharing what I have learnt with others. I am not a therapist or a psychologist. I am first and foremost a writer using words as a tool for wellbeing.
